Once inside the church, you are immediately struck by the main altarpiece painted by Vittore Carpaccio: a painting representing "Saint Vital on a horse and four saints adoring the Virgin Mary and the Child" (1514). Other paintings present in the church are works by artists from the 1700s installed in different places around the lagoon such as Piazzetta, Pellegrini and Giulia Lama, a painter whose few works are known. In front of the facade, you will find the Bazzini organ, built in 1833.
