The Egyptian Museum of Barcelona is one of the first private collections of Egyptian art and culture and an organization engaged in the research and study and the dissemination of ancient Egypt.
More than 2,000 m2 of galleries exhibit nearly a thousand exhibitions, including sarcophagi, mummies, jewelry and amulets, in order to better understand the daily life and the customs of the ancient pharaonic civilization.
The Egyptian Museum of Barcelona organizes guided tours of its collections led by Egyptologists, essential to make Egyptian culture and civilization better known.
In addition to permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, the museum also organizes other activities that allow visitors to take advantage of the collections in an entertaining and fun way. These activities include guided night tours with re -enactments of scenes by actors. Another activities is the Lord Banquet Etern, a guided tour centered on Egyptian cuisine which gives visitors the possibility of enjoying products that were part of the food of this old civilization.
